Anne Rice, author of best-seller "Interview with the Vampire" and many other gothic novels took to her Facebook to turn in her "Christianity membership" as she refuses "to be anti-gay, anti-feminist and anti-birth control".The 68 year old was raised a Catholic but rejected the church early in her life. She then renewed her faith in recent years and in 2008 released the memoir "Called Out of Darkness: A Spiritual Confession."

The popular retail store Target is being accused of being "off aim" with its donation to an anti-gay Republican campaign. Target Corp.'s CEO on Tuesday defended the discount retailer's political donations of $150,000 to a Minnesota group helping the state's Republican candidate for governor, Tom Emmer, who opposes gay marriage.

Target donated to MN Forward under new laws allowing corporations to spend company money on election campaigns. Chief Executive Gregg Steinhafel said gay employees have been raising concerns about the money helping state Rep. Tom Emmer,

"We rarely endorse all advocated positions of the organizations or candidates we support, and we do not have a political or social agenda," Steinhafel said in an email.

Target has also donates to Monnesota public school programs, food pantries and the annual Twin Cities Gay Pride Festival.

Apparently, some folks are hoping to officially charge and have Pope Benedict XVI arrested during his state visit to Britain for alleged cover-up of multiple sexual abuse cases within the Catholic Church.

Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, both atheist are headlining campaigners and have asked human rights lawyers to produce a case for charging Pope Benedict XVI over his alleged cover-up.

According Sky News, the UK government is trying to change laws that will prevent the Pope from being arrested in Britain. Dawkins and Hitchens believe the Pope would be unable to claim diplomatic immunity from arrest because, although his tour is categorised as a state visit, he is not the head of a state recognised by the United Nations.

The state visit is scheduled for this September and already large protests have been organized.

A deceased gay porn star is outing Superman star Christopher Reeves in a new book Hollywood Babylon Strikes Again. Cal Culver gives details of their relationship in an interview conducted before his death in 1987. He alleges that he met Reeve when they were both auditioning for a Broadway role in the mid-1970s.

Culver claims Superman star Reeve was 'the man of my dreams' and says that the pair had a passionate two-month relationship until Reeve discovered Culver was a gay porn star, performing under the name 'Casey Donovan'.

Reeve married his wife of 12 years and had 2 children. He was paralysed from the shoulders down in 1995 after falling from a horse. He died of heart failure in 2004.
